St. Petersburg officials responded promptly to an open letter of Leningrad siege survivor Tamara Bortkevich. As "Fontanka" reported yesterday, woman had been complaining about leaking roof for more than a month.
Reaction was literally instantaneous - a few minutes after authorities learned about the incident, vice-governor Lyudmila Kostkina expressed her desire to help Tamara Bortkevich. By the way, according to Tamara's words, she had applied to Kostkina's department earlier, but had got no answer. Head of the Housing Committee Yuri Osipov also responded to Tamara's needs. He promised that he would take action within two or three days.
