Russia and the EU signed five agreements

Russia and the European Union at today's summit have signed five agreements: two of them are related to financing and implementation of cross-border cooperation programs "Kolartik" and "Karelia".

As the Rosbalt-Petersburg with reference to Itar-Tass reports, the Government of Russia and the EU also have signed agreements concerning financing and realization of programs of cross-border cooperation “South - East Finland - Russia”,"Latvia - Estonia - Russia","Lithuania - Poland - Russia”.

The 24-th EU-Russia summit is opened today in Stockholm. The summit takes place at Stockholm's Grand Hotel which is the residence of Dmitry Medvedev during a visit to Sweden.

The EU delegation is represented by the European Council – the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden Fredrik Reinfeldt, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and the High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Javier Solana.
