Medvedev in turn said that talks with Obama took place "in a friendly atmosphere”. He said: "I’m thankful to Barack for work”. Earlier, Medvedev said he hoped that Russia and the United States would be able to sign a new agreement on strategic offensive arms in December of this year.

"We really devoted a significant amount of time to discussion of the agreement on the reduction of offensive weapons, and recognized the need to give additional momentum to the negotiations", - Medvedev said after talks with the U.S. president. According to Medvedev, it is a must to "find a solution for some issues, in some cases technical solutions, in some - political solutions."

He also said that Russia and the United States might resort to "other means" if Iran does not respond to nuclear program "If we can not agree, then there are other means to move the process differently," - said Medvedev, informs Gazeta.ru referring to ITAR-TASS.
